Learning Marvin

It was so interesting to explore Marvin software. The characters are unique and funny. I find it hard first to incorporate these characters to my prepared presentations, but as I explore the features one by one as was able to do it at last.

My output is not that well polished but I think given the time I can make it more attention getting and motivating for my students.

I learned how to compile my presentations My only reservation in using this is when the audience are adukts or during professional seminars We have to limit the use of animations.

Module 2 Reflections

During the days session I learned how to create my own blog. Other than that sharing of blog sites were also taught. I learned how to post and edit my blog. Adding my classmates blog sites in my blog list is also one of my newest learning in ICT.

Sparkling ideas come to my mind instantly when I learned blogging. I intend to ask my students to do the same so that there will be exchange of ideas and that those students who are shy can express themselves or can ask questions to their classmates or to their teachers.

This blooging lessons may be integrated in my lesson in statistics particularly when my students are doing surveys. My students can report their surveys using their blogs. I will ask the to include pictures and videos if there is any.

I want to learn or investigate if a website for my lesson can be linked to my posted blog.

My days learning

I was hessitant at first to attend the training but was convinced later. I thought I already know the ABC of ICT. I used to teach ICT in our school and was trained several times in the field. It is however during the firts session that I realized I am still empty.

The lesson about searching and the 4 types of searching gave me the idea of how to design a lesson using the internet. I thought that the teacher should be the source of knowledge in the classroom now I learned that with scavengerhunt students will be on their own which I think will make learning more meaningful. Besides the pacing of the lesson will not be controlled but rather independent.

Making of Blog also is a new learning for me. I dont usually go to blogs and discussion boards (although I used to email), this time I really appreciate blogs because of its features and accessibility.

I am excited to share this learning with my co - teachers so that they will also appreciate as I appreciate all these new things that I learn in ICT

It pays to be SMART anyway and by doing this I feel that I'm smart
